Weird amazon problem lately

For the past few weeks, whenever I've ordered a brand new hardback book directly from amazon, it's always arrived with a weird thing going on with the pages. Instead of being totally flat, as the pages should be, they are slightly wavy. Has anyone else noticed this? It's only the hardbacks, not the paperbacks.

It's not bad enough to be worth sending them back, but it's disappointing to wait for your nice expensive new book and have it arrive like this. I thought it was just a one off at first but now it keeps happening!

And now I take back what I said about it only being the hardbacks. It's a paperback as well now. They don't seem damp and I've never had this problem before.

It sounds like they have got damp at some point. It would be impossible to tell if this happened before or after they left Amazon though - they could have been poorly stored by the courier/An Post

But it's only my books from amazon arriving like this. The ones I order off ebay are all fine. I just sent a message to amazon to tell them about it and to request to caqncel my other orders. I told them I don't plan to order from them in future because of this. It's bad having to buy elsewhere because amazon are so cheap but I don't want all my books turning up like this. It ruins the pleasure of having a nice fresh new book.

It says that it's cancelled the rest of my order and that people aren't charged for items that haven't been dispatched. So, they hadn't charged me for those then? I don't need to check for a refund?

No they only charge you once the item is dispatched so you don't need to worry.
