at 10.20 a large green army plane flew over doughiska Galway probably departed from the defunct Galway airport. I think it's army because it had no windows (flying very low) military green in colour but no markings or tri colour to be seen,
then at 11.20 flying much higher was a helicopter same green in colour no markings heading in the direction of the docks Salthill direction
very impressed by the army plane a twin prop with a very different sound any one know what's goin on ? (probably just training)

Not sure about the plane, didn't see it. The helicopter, however was the Aer Corps AW139 helicopter that's being used for the air ambulance service on a years trial going into the hospital. It's a very regular visitor to the hospital these days, sometimes 2 or even 3 times a day, which confirms that there is a need for a dedicated air ambulance service.
