[Discussion] Status of the property market in Killiney/Dalkey

Just wondering if any members have information or an opinion on the status of the property market in Killiney, Dalkey or environs. Proximity to the sea a big plus.

Budget: €350-450k, depending on condition of the property for sale.

4-bed preferably, with a decent BER or potential for significant improvement to the rating. Walk-in condition would be ideal.

Not sure what other info I should give, but by all means ask.

I recall reading somewhere that a sizeable proportion of houses on the market currently are executor sales. Most of these would require significant refurbishment, I presume. That would mean spending €100-150k on renovation.

Pie in the sky, or achievable?

Look at the property price register if you haven't done so already. http://www.propertypriceregister.ie/

There's two, four beds for sale in Bayview you could get them for a little over 300, 50 would do a great job on them.
