Anyone use these / have any opinion on them?

Specifically I'm thinking of getting one for my brother for Christmas. He has played very infrequently for about 15 years now and needs practice mainly to get to any decent level and a few lessons along the way, however, if he is to go on as before would a chipper help? He would lose a lot of shots around the green - often have a great chance of a par and could bone it over the green. What sort of distance would you use them from away from a green?

In my opinion they're a pointless club taking up space in the bag that could otherwise be used for a more versatile club. You should be able to achieve the same variety of shots with a 7 or 8 iron.
I particularly wouldn't buy one for someone else. If it's a present you're thinking off for your brother and he struggles with his chipping why not purchase him a short game lesson. Much more beneficial and practical.
