Hi I have an old seamaster 30 i bought online a few years ago,
it broke in that when i pull the stem out to change the time, it keeps coming out! and it doesnt change the hand position.

it does wind but im afraid to fo anything to it now. Who is competent to repair/look at this? Dont think i could afford to go to an authorised omega repairer at the moment.....

ive heard of chealwatch in the UK, but there are horror storys of late according to google.

    Thanks!

Ballsbridge Jewellers has been my recommendation in the past. They're on Shelbourne Road opposite the Post Office.

    Hi,

My nearly identical Seamaster is currently being repaired by Micheal Swift in Scotland for a very reasonable price. Bit of a waiting list but check him out online.

Thanks, have you dealt with him before? where did you hear about him?

This is my first time dealing with him.
He is well respected and gets lots of good write-ups on various UK watch fora.

It may seem like I'm plugging this guy, but I've no connection with him, he's a qualified horologist, based in Carrickmacross in Monaghan. who lectured at the Irish/Swiss school of Horology, and will fix anything! John Howell is his name, I'm rubbish at posting links but he's listed under FAQ above! His rates are beyond reasonable!

Swiss Time Services are Omega approved and do a lot of vintage restorations and servicing. I've never used them but I've heard that they're very good, being approved by Omega would give me the confidence to give them a try.

webwatchmaker.com, turnover time is the same week, for me any way, great communication, he sent me on pics of the watches as they were being repaired, his name is brendan hoey, a dub into the bargain, he likes a pic of the watch before it is mailed.

I just got my Omega Seamaster repaired (new crown) and serviced by Emily Nerney at Watch Repairs Ireland http://www.watchrepairs.ie

and am very pleased with the job she did, and the price. My watch now looks as good as new after she polished it and removed every scratch that 5 years every day wear had put on it.

@93Cab - I could have saved myself some postage if I'd searched here properly as I'm in Carrickmacross myself. Still, I'm happy with the work I had done.
