Court Summons Speeding Wrong Address

Hi, I have a question about the process of a summons. In September this year I had two guards call to my front door with a court summons for an unpaid speed ticket. On the summons was my old address and the guards informed me that the speed ticket was sent April 2011, I still lived in old address but definitely didn't receive speed ticket. When I moved address Sept 2011 I changed address with tax, log book etc.
I couldn't make the court date in October and it was rearranged, I was told that a new date and time would be sent out to me. Never received anything so checked with old landlord and there was the new summons date in old address!! This was last week, have court tomorrow, I could've missed it if I didn't ring old landlord.
I genuinely never received first ticket so didn't pay fine obviously, summons had old address on it but garda came to my current address with it and rearranged summons had old address again on it. I would have no problem paying original fine and receiving that 2 points as I must've been speeding, so I did the crime I'll do the time so to speak but I won't be paying increased fine and 4 points.
Do I have a leg to stand on?

Read Charter: Part where it says Summons.
