I'm 65 next year. And will be due to take my pension.

If I work on till I'm 66 or even 67 will I avoid the transition year where I go onto jobseekers allowance for a year? I'm sure my boss would keep me on for another year or two.

If you leave your job you will not be able to claim for 9 weeks. You may have JSB for 12 months if you have enough PRSI contributions.
You would have to be activly looking for work to claim JSB.
