My inlaws last a 20 month bullock with BVD earlier this year. He started with a scour and basically faded away over 4 months. Vet looked at him and predicted fluke, he was dosed, and didn't improve, then vet predicted mineral deficiency and treated him. I asked vet could it be bvd and he said no (because he didn't understand it). At testing I got vet to take blood sample and it came back positive. Sent bullock to knacker's yard. He lost about 50% of his weight over 3 or 4 months.

bvd or johnes( might be too young) if scour persists i would - if she is clear from medication- send her to factory to ccut your losses, as reilig says maybe get her bvd tested so you know what you are dealing with

no she didnt, got another heifers dung sampled which wasnt thrieving and it came back with stomach fluke so i dosed them all with zanil but thats about 18/19 days ago this one with the scour seems to be thrieving and eating ok

You could repeat the Zanil. I presume you've also taken care of the 'usual suspects' (worms and liver fluke).

Salmonellosis and Coccidiosis also cause scouring.
