Any time I see Iveagh at a race start I feel like I've turned up to the throw in for a basketball game by mistake, he's a big guy! You don't see many of his build moving so well over these distances/times.

Great to see him going well in this.

You could put Paddy Q in that category too . Savage sub 3.30 marathoner and two back to back 100 Milers within a couple of weeks. Awesome athlete too.

Paddy has more the build of a rugby player than a basketballer ;)

Lol, exactly what I thought when I met Iveagh for the 1st time. Spoke to him on numerous occasions at the 24hr race in Bangor. Really nice lad . He must have a stomach made of iron, he's some boyo to knock back the gels. Must have taken at least 60 in Bangor

Sadly, damaged my calf again . Not as bad as last time but think it will cost me a few weeks anyway. Gutted to miss Franks marathon.

Hadn't noticed this thread, wish I had earlier.

It looked to me as if Iveagh picked up an injury this morning, I noticed he wasn't out on the course after 9am and he was limping near the finish area so hopefully its only something small. Although I wasn't speaking to him it was great to hear another Irish accent as I was going around. 758K is not to be sniffed at either, great achievement.
