I have 7-8 years of experience and I have been working for a company for 7 years, never tried for moving and never had to research for the current IT job market but now with some circumstances, I am planning to move to have a change. I am working in dot net environment. I get around 50k per annum and with current scenario I am just expecting the same package. So I have started to investigate and this is one of those initial steps.

How do you think is the current job market in Dot Net? Someone told me it has improved a bit since one year.

    Could people share their thoughts?

    Thanks and regards,

    Atwal.

I've moved the thread from work problems.

I think you're probably in a pretty strong position to look around - experienced programmers are very much in demand at the moment. Don't know about specific salaries, but I'd be surprised if you can't at least break even.
