Did the salesperson at enterprise cars just lie to me?

I am back in dublin and just got a bargain on a hire car. 5 days hire on a large family car for 50 euro in total.

So it's a deal at a tenner a day, but the catch is a child seat will cost me a tenner a day. When I questioned the sales lady at the desk in T1 she said its crossed hired and there was nothing she could do.

Did she lie? Why would they cross hire child seats

Thinly veiled "I am Dr. Dolittle" thread.
