Andy Lee talking on Newstalk at the weekend.

It's about 12 minutes long. In brief, he talks about Emmanuel Steward, the fact that he's now training with Adam Booth in London and that he wants to fight Matthew Macklin next year.

I didn't realise he was working with Booth so it will be interesting to see how that works out. A matchup with Macklin would be good, but we've heard that mooted before.

Would love to see Lee vs Macklin!

Booth is obviously a talented coach. Maybe the trauma of Manny will light a fire under Lee, who always has felt like a boxer that was an attainable step away from being truly world-class.

Hopefully Macklin and Lee don't get sucked into a fight before one of them delivers a world title, though.

Their styles make for a great scrap. Both below real world class, both vulnerable and both limited. Lee's stamina gain could be the factor that decides the bout. Macklin isn't all that heavy handed, so maybe Andy can survive any body attacks, and land a whopper of his own for a KO?

Apparently the training Lee has been doing has been a new departure for him in terms of conditioning.

He used to get fit by sparring apparently, at the Kronk. Seems pretty crazy but Booth has a far more scientific approach to strength and conditioning. This will really address one of Lee's major flaws in my opinion and apparently his stamina is better than it has ever been.

One thing Booth will find harder to address is Andy's inability to fight on the inside. Better stamina and conditioning though will help he keep opponents off for longer though I reckon.

Interesting move, hope it works out well for him. Some good fights for him in the UK I reckon, Murray, Macklin, Barker etc..... Its like a lower quality version of the Benn, Eubank, Collins dust up's at super middle in the 90's.
