Is it possible to use a diplexers/combiners to allow a UPC & Satellite feed on one cable ? Similar to the way that Saorview & Sat can be combined ?

I asked this question recently and was told to run a second cable - I'd be interested in hearing if it is possible..

The freq range for terrestrial is of a relatively low Mhz value, by comparison to the sat transmissions which are far higher, thus easy to use them on SAT/Terrestrial setup. Dunno about the UPC feed though.

In theory it's possible using a high quality TV/Sat diplex with 950MHz to 2200MHz, power and 22kHz pass on Sat port and 5Mhz to 900MHz on TV port.

Needs to be high quality as cable signal total power is about 100x TV aerial. UPC might not be amused if you mix up the ports.

The UPC uses roughly 5MHz to 60MHz as Broadband return and 87MHz to 870MHz for Radio, TV and Broadband.

Sat needs DC power (13V/19V) and 22kHz from box and 950MHz to 2100MHz from LNB. But in 22kHz on mode there is "interference" down to about 110MHz, so the "sat port" needs to block the TV band.

You need two such adaptors of course.

I have successfully fed cable type signals (inc Broadband uplink) on 4 x PASSIVE port version 17 x 16 Satellite Multiswitches and expandable in theory over 2000 Room outlets with diplex wall plates (using 5MHz to 2500MHz passive splitters and Cable Broadband Trunk amps).

In theory it's possible with right equipment. But if you can't measure what is happening better to run a 2nd cable.

Perfectly done Watty, thank you ;)

Yes! That's how my UPC broadband (including analogue channels) & my Sky feeds, are fed to my apartment in a communal dish system.
