not sure if this is the right thread but I have recently moved into a house that has the digital signal coming through (you know the 12-13 channels that get fed into h)ouses, but my crt tv cant scan the channels like the crt already in the house can, is there anything I can get so my tv will work with these channels.

If it's UPC cable in Galway city, then the "12 channels" are analogue not digital.

Make sure you are doing an analogue scan when you retune.

Did the TV set come from the UK ??
If yes the TV might have a UHF-only tuner => not covering cable frequencies.
