Travel insurance for package V DIY

Just wondering if there is any difference in the travel insurance required for a package holiday and a DIY holiday?

None that I've ever seen. It may be the case that if you were going to some really remote place like Antarctica then you would only get insurance if you were on a tour but for most places the insurance companies don't care if you're part of a tour or an independent traveller.
