I want to get my teeth whitened/bleached. What options do I have? Are treatments safe? Will there be any long term damage done to my teeth?

I have posted in the beauty forum but people tend to talk about the results and price only. I want to be sure no long term damage is done to my teeth!

Sorry I'm no help but I'm interested in getting my teeth done too. I've heard of these: Crest Strips, White Smiles and Zoom In. I've been trying to find out about the two clinics but it seems to be hard but a lot of people on boards talk about zoom. Crest are cheap strips but tend to have mixed reviews even though the americans rave about them. Hopefully someone can help us more!

I know it would probably cost more but I think I want to have it done by a dentist rather than a beauty/laser clinic. I don't want to regret it in 10-20 years time! Hopefully someone with have good advice.

If you have flourosis or white patch as per your other thread, then over the counter whitening will be as useful as a cholcolate teapot. You are going to require extensive bleaching. I would look into deep bleaching if you want a proper, long term result. You will pay a lot more than, but IMHO its worth it.

    Any idea of price?

Between 700 - 1300 euro depending. Expensive yes, but standard bleaching wont touch white patches (where the idea is to bleach the rest of the teeth to the level of the white patch)

Yep, better do it really well one time, than be disappointed and waste smaller amounts of money.

Do you work in the dental area?
