Hi I have been told I hav to work a twelve hour shift (7-7) Xmas day the off duty came out three weeks ago and I was on annual leave on Xmas day and there was not enough on so I stupidly offered to work some of the day my boss then rostered me for full day even though i did all or part of xmas the last two years can I be made do it? I'm so annoyed I was not even spoken to and there are others who haven't done Xmas in along time. I feel I'm been penalised for offering to do any of it and others who won't do it are getting off scot free. Any advice appreciated....

You did offer? Could you ask if you can do a half day?

I volunteered to do half a day not the full day. I discussed this wit him saying I would do half day if that's any good and he said thats great I'll put u down for the morning. Now he's sayin everybody else said no and I hav to do it. I don't feel it's fair that dey can say no and I hav no choice. Surely this is not equal treatment??
