no tax and doe out-penalty points

    what's the total penalty points for above on a commercial
    can't find any mention of tax and points on rsa website

    There is no points for no Tax but up to 5 for no DOE.

    No points for tax, €60 fine, vehicle can be siezed if out for more than 2 months.

    No doe is a summons offence so straight to court. 5 points on conviction, fine up to €1500 iirc. Vehicle can be siezed the day after it runs out.

    Can you be summonsed immediatley for no tax or is it always a fine first?

    You can be summonsed for tax if there's summonses for other offences as well but you wouldn't get one for just tax without a ticket being issued first
