    Groundhog Day is probably my favourite comedy. One question that always comes to mind when viewing it is how long Phil spends stuck in Groundhog Day.

    Judging by the numerous skills he acquires I'd have to guess at least ten years.

    fun article. i saw this when it came out orginally, as a child, and watched it again last week as the premise of the stuck day is just one that intrigues me. i really enjoyed the film, murray's charisma and natural charm really makes it all work.

    i saw other estimates on the net that suggested he'd spent centuries in that day but the linked article is hard to argue with!

    Apparently, its supposed to be about 10,000 years, going by one of the early drafts of the script.
