Anyone own Optoma HD33?

    Was wondering if anyone in the cork-west cork area owns an Optoma HD33?
    I am really interested in getting one, but can't find any store to demo it?
    I have read about the "rainbow effect" and having never used DLP tech before, would really like to see one running first to see if I am prone to seeing it.

    Anyone that has one and wouldn't mind me coming to take a look at some fast 2D and 3D content to see if I can see the rainbow effect, I would greatly appreciate it.

    Shame there is no store around that even stocks them , never mind demos them.

    Hiya. I have the optoma hd200x. Its full HD but its the cheaper less spec version the HD33.

    I have it 2-3 years now, my 4th projector in 12 years.
    Go and buy it, run it with a sony Bluray system.

    I watch it on a 120" screen in my sitting room

    I give it 10 out of 10.

    Don't suppose you live around the cork area mate, and wouldn't mind me popping in for a look? I tried finding anywhere in cork to Demo one but sadly there is nowhere.

    Would be a shame to buy it and find out I am one of the folks that are RBE sensitive and am stuck with it.

    The Rainbow effect is over hyped. A tiny % of people seem to see it, plus on other forums where people saw a hint of it when they first used a projector grow accustomed to it and the effect goes away.

    Any pubs in Cork you know running a projector for sport?
    Pop in a have a look. And ask is it a dlp projector (chances are it is)

    Did you buy it? Where did you or are you going to get it?

    Anyone tried the WHD100 wireless transmitter? Or would it be better to get a really long HDMI cable

    Didn't buy it yet. Still waiting on a refund for a tv I sent back. Was going to get it from leconcepts.com as they are the best price I can find.

    Ordering tomorrow. Was waiting for a refund from a tv I sent back to clear on the credit card, so should be set to place the order in the morning.
