Have a look at a tourism site I did some work on,

The SEO friendly URL's are disabled I need to find an issue with them but haven't had the time.

    All opinions welcome.

Plus there is a competition for a 2 night break in Ireland for people who register.

    Hi

Had a look at your site and its very good.

I have just started to create my own site which is a work in progress.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thanks

Facebook and Twitter links don't work.

Personally I think the footer is way to big. On some pages it takes up more then have the page. The links section could be a button and when pressed the links could slide out. This can be done with jquery. It will save you space and will stop people from leaving your site.

    No map of Ireland

Also for a tourism site the functionality is poor. A tourist is only going to know the main cites in Ireland. The reason they come to your site is for information and advise but I cant see anyway they can get it if they don't know the name of the place. Have look at http://www.discoverireland.ie. They have a map of Ireland and you can select countries.

When the nav is hovered over the text appears blurred to me. Also no indication that there is a drop down under About Us. Just stick a \/ underneath.

These are just my opinions but I like the overall design. Few changes and it should be good. good luck

    Thats great...Thanks for the comments.

I'm only new to this and its not professional or a tourist site per se, just a site that interests me and with a bit of work will interest others with more content.

Thanks again and I will put some of your suggestions to work..

Those suggestions are for the site mentioned in the original post. If I have time I'll have a look at your site.
