To be fair to Woodies, those are the terms they always have. I was putting off going to Woodies all week with my shopping list...now I know why! Thanks OP! :)

Woodies dont want people knowing it for a good reason.

They less people that notice it,then the less money they loose.

Woodies and Atlantic Homecare are part of the same bigger company..and Atlantic Homecare is foooked at the moment.

Woodies is slipping that way too.

    Ask yourself this then....

Why do Woodies not advertize the 20% off weekends on the television or do big leaflet promotions for the 20% off weekends???

    Think about it.;)

    Vic..will you relax there.:)

They dont advertize 20% off weekends and make a big song and dance about it,otherwize the more people that took advantage of it,the more money they loose over the normal RRP and then their profit margins more or less dissappear.

I know the manager of a North Dublin branch and he told me recently that Woodies are not in great shape at all.

Atlantic Homecare (owned by the same company that own Woodies) are completely fooked.

Yes it's common knowledge on how the finances are but I don't get why they would want to keep a "promotion" quiet

Either have them and increase footfall into the store and shout about it, or don't have them at all.

All cool paddy, all cool  :pac::pac:

Woodies wouldn't lose money on their 20% off deals unless you interpret making less profit as losing money.

And Woodies certainly know how to charge top dollar, and then some, for what they sell.

Even with 20% off, they are still way overpriced.

These offers come up 3/4 times a year. Next one could be in Feb.
