Well, as of the time of this post, there are three times as many 'no' votes as there are 'yes' votes... :D:D;);)

I would love if RTE put up the money to have Graham Norton come over and do a show. His show is much much better, with better music acts, and better guests!

The Late Late show is geared more to an Irish audience than an International one. I gave up watching it a long time ago as the guests were just not high profile enough. Some of the people that they have on aren't worthy of the name celebrity. There always seemed to be a topic or guest that would have the sad story element. Program not light hearted enough, questions and answers seem too pre rehearsed. Graham Norton is the show for me.

The problem is that it caters to a more conservative audience, and doesn't make any attempts to be even a little bit controversial or challenge norms. It just sticks to an out-dated format with unchallenging content. Given its longevity, it could be used in a way that could be more progressive, but I don't think RTE want to risk scaring anyone away.

I remember the Late, Late Show featuring that admirable, courageous lady Annie Murphy, a packed audience of bigots and Gay Byrne back in about 1992/3. I had often wondered could Gaybo get any worse, and that evening I was left in no doubt.

I've rarely watched it since then - there is so much good stuff on TV - but I might become interested if they came up with a completely new formula.:)

They also seem to be in a rush to get through an interview, fire out the questions and keep moving on. Maybe reduce the number of guests, increase the profile and get one or two to stay on. They used to do this when gaybo hosted the show from time to time made it a bit more un predictable and guests inter acted with each other.

Yeah that is right and they always shy away from the controversial questions, and when they have FF TD's on, Ryan goes all shy and is rubbish at asking the hard line questions.

They should look at the format used by GN and implement it in some way for the Irish audience.

Enough people are watching it every week so why change it. There is a very busy thread on this website every Friday full of people complaining about it yet they continue to watch it.

That's what having a show in London will get you.
