or do l have to get another boarding pass for that date?

Sorry l havent a clue never dealt with boarding passes & that kinda stuff before!

**flight to edinburgh with aer lingus, from cork...thur to sunday**

A boarding pass only covers you for one flight, you need two pieces of paper to cover outward and return legs of a return trip. Not every airline allows you to download and print the return leg, it depends on the airline, the route and the length of time between the two legs of the journey so please give us details of the trip and someone will respond.

    1. Airline and departure airport
    2. Destination (name of the airport)
    3. Outbound date
    4. Return Date

Why don't you provide the answers to the questions that coylemj took the time to ask you, and people will able to assist you further. We can't now as you aren't giving us enough information.

Generally when you check in online and print off your boarding pass, there will be a tab on the website that you click on to print off the passes for each leg of the journey. However, each airline has different rules as to the amount of time between the outbound and the return legs of a journey that you can check in for ahead of time.

So you did. My bad. Just saw your edited post there.

Aer Lingus only let you check in for a flight 30 hrs (maximum) before you fly. So if you are flying back on a Sunday, you won't be able to check for the return flight, and print off your boarding passes until some time on Saturday, depending on what time your return flight is.

    All the deets are here.

If you have access to a computer and printer before you fly, you can do it then. If you don't, do it at the airport when you arrive for your return flight. Unlike Ryanair, Aer Lingus do not charge for checking in at the airport, or printing off the boarding card.

Some airports have machines where you can scan your passport on site and they will print a boarding pass for you. I know you can do this for Aer Lingus at Amsterdam Schiphol, I'll take a look and see if the same arrangement is in place in Edinburgh.

Edit: doesn't look like it, sorry.

    Self-service check-in
Self-service check-in is available to some passengers departing from Edinburgh and can be a great way to save time on your journey through the airport.
Simply use the self-service check-in kiosk and take any baggage to the bag drop location.
You'll then have plenty of time to enjoy the shops, bars and cafés, or just relax before your flight.
At Edinburgh Airport there are self-service check-in kiosks (near the standard check-in desks) for eligible passengers flying with:
    bmibaby/bmi British Midland*
    British Airways
    Air France
    KLM
    Lufthansa
This service is not available to all passengers and destinations, so please check with your airline to see if you are eligible.

As ProudDUB said, if you can't get it printed off then just do it when you arrive for your flight. You should allow around 30 minutes extra in case of queues.
