polo engine oil?

    well, going to change to change the oil in the sisters 00 1.0 polo what oil should be used? 10w40 is my instinct but was recommended to use 5w30 what ye guys think? thanks for all responses!:)

    It has to be VW 502.00 or 501.01 spec oil. The viscosity range is irrelevant once it meets those specs.

    API SL/CF,ACEC A3/B3,A3/B4
    Complies with:
    Mercedes-Benz 229.1
    BMW Special.

    Lidl is supposedly GM (General Motors) oil made by AC Delco, just re-branded. The shape of the bottles is even identical, just different stickers.

    a twenty litre drum of castrol 10w40 in the shed will do it so cheers for the responses lads

    Only if its the correct spec of 10w40.
