Looks excellent from the trailer, though not sold on Anthony Edwards as an action kinda guy. Seems a bit like Missing meets The Davinci Code with a few others in the mix.

Loving the Nazi angle and hope for lots of flashbacks, alas one of the Gummer clan were cast

Grace Gummer — the daughter of Meryl Streep who guest-starred as Angelica Huston’s daughter in Smash last season — will join the cast of ABC’s new midseason drama Zero Hour.
Gummer is expected to recur as FBI Agent Paige Willis in the conspiracy drama about a publisher of a paranormal enthusiast magazine (ER’s Anthony Edwards) whose wife is abducted from her antique clock shop.

Hammy voiceover (definitely trying too hard), but the show looks very good.

Looks more mystery than action, tbh.....

 its been given the Thursday 8pm death slot :(
Its only 8 episodes as well....this years Missing?

New thriller “Zero Hour” stars Anthony Edwards (“ER”) in his return to series television. Edwards’ character, Hank Galliston, has spent his life debunking myths, only to be drawn into one of the most compelling mysteries in human history after his wife’s shocking disappearance. “Zero Hour” will premiere on Thursday, February 14 at 8:00 p.m., ET.

Maybe it's following the BBC/Cable model of less episodes, less filler. Don't write it off yet.

Aaaaaaand it's dreadful. I'd say this will go the same way as 'Missing'.

It looks kinda interesting but I don't think it will last past one season

Officially kicked off last night in the US. Very poor ratings as expected...

On ABC, the premiere of Zero Hour earned a 1.3, the lowest for an ABC in-season scripted premiere ever.

    So...anyone watch, thoughts?

Surprisingly enjoyable. I know it's toast, but all episodes are filmed by now - even if ABC pull it, it will air somewhere. Hopefully it's a self-contained series with a complete story and doesn't have a massive cliff hanger at the end.

Just watched the pilot and quite liked it mainly because its a bit different and i feel most tv shows these days are just playing off where others succeeded.

What is pissing me off though is that already after one bloody episode people are giving it no chance even though it has the chance of being really interesting if it keeps itself all together.

I just feel these days any show that comes out with an interesting deep over the top story gets slated straight away because most people cant be bothered to give it any time. Flashforward and The Event are what a lot of people are comparing this to and again i liked both these shows for different reasons but you could tell from the get go the networks never gave the shows a chance.

I feel this will end up the same as they have already put it up against more marketable brain less shows that are ratings cash cows.

Anyway i am curious to see where it goes and im hoping to see the full story one way or another. Put it this way i watched two or three episodes of Revolution and after twenty minutes i could tell it was gonna be ****ing ****e same goes for Terra Nova which i unfortunalty ended up watching the whole first and only season. This show kept me interested the whole episode and made me want to see more but thats not enough now a days nearly everything original and a bit far out there gets bashed.

Maybe if they add in a laugh track some wannabe karaoke singers fake tan slappers and some nerd jokes this show will be a success......

The show could be the best of all time and it wouldn't matter. They put it around valentines.....it had no chance.

Has to be some of the worst decision making from the networks I've ever seen. Sometimes I wonder if they want their shows to fail.

Went into it blind - interesting enough premise, but the execution was fairly shoddy. It picked up once the FBI woman insisted accompanying him on his trip. Some pretty clunky dialogue, solid enough pacing.

I thought it was going to be dreadful but it's not that bad tbh. It's better than some of the ****e that's on TV at the moment

Did you know Airplane! was an unofficial comedy remake of Zero Hour?

That's all have have to add to this.

ABC has cancelled the show after three low rated episodes: http://www.deadline.com/2013/03/abcs-zero-hour-cancelled-after-3-airings/

Have they actually aired any episodes beyond No 3 yet?

    Don't think so, not yet.

Is it worth looking at episodes 2 and 3?

I think so, just leave your brain at the door.

Our resident cancellation guru says that the rest of the episodes will surface on Canadian TV soon and that there is a proper ending, so make up your own mind. Did you like the first one?

Episode 4 has just surfaced ;)

Episode 4 was very good. We now know what the clocks will lead to, and the ending was a great twist.

It's rare that I agree with Richard, but Grace Gummer stuck out like a sore thumb. The girl really can't act. :)

Episode 5 is out there....dunno what channel is broadcasting it though?

Fox HD in a Spanish speaking country (there are Spanish ads popping up at the bottom every few minutes).

Anyone still watching? It's so dumb, it makes The Following look like Breaking Bad, and I LOVE IT. :)

It's like a serialised Dan Brown novel. The whole point of the show was finally revealed in episode 10 and it's completely stupid and genius in equal measure.

For the curious who gave up on this months ago,
the clocks lead to the Cross of Christ, buried on the Faroe Islands by some rogue Nazis. In the meantime, it turns out that Hank was the worlds first clone (something unique in his blood allowed for successful cloning). Some of Christ's blood had soaked into the cross, and, well.... you can guess where it goes from here. The Second Coming = End of Days, etc. etc.

It's definitely a one-series show - I don't know how they planned to extend this into multiple series. Fun, though!

I see the final three episodes appeared online, so all 13 aired....so, how did it end?....wrap up or cliffhanger?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 55,571 ✭✭✭✭Mr E

With 15 minutes to go, I was getting a real sinking feeling, but by god they actually pulled it off. They finished the story completely, and even managed to end on a high (the last scene put a big smile on my face).

An extremely entertaining series that very few people will actually get to see. A real shame.

Yup, nicely wrapped up and put to bed, right down to the final scene (I smiled as well).

While it was entertaining, I think the whole premise was so far out there (particularly from the reveal in Ep. 10) that it never really had a chance. The early issue it had is that there were puzzles in it and ... well, let's face it, Americans just don't seem to want to invest time in something they have to think about, while they're munching on huge bags of Doritos.

The main issue was starting it on Valentines Day.
Talk about stumbling on the starting line...
