MobileRepeater.ie Repeaters- Worth the money?

Hi all. My signal strength for my modem is quite poor in the area I live in. In the strongest signal area of my house, I'm getting 16% so I'd like to find a way to boost the signal. I thought of snatching up one of the 3 broadband repeaters on adverts.ie but they're all sold/withdrawn so I'm looking at alternatives.

I came across a website (Mobilerepeaters.ie) and saw that they have a range of repeaters available, but at a cost ofcourse. Because I'm on 3G data connection (3 Broadband) I thought of getting this repeater (http://mobilerepeater.ie/shop/product_info.php?products_id=90) but I wanted to check before I threw my money down the toilet if this repeater didn't help at all, do these repeaters work? On their website, they claim that they will but again, they're trying to sell .

I know that for any form of signal booster to work, it has to find a minute signal to work off. So I do have that minute signal which would make me think that it should help in some way. I know that there are some people who have set up large aerials on top of telephone poles :) but that is something that I couldn't really do as I lack the electrical knowledge to make something like that work so I need something simpler. So my question basically is, would the repeater I linked to help boost the signal by at least 20%-30%? Or will they have virtually no effect? Thanks.

Unfortunately all the ones you can buy are illegal to use. Might also be why they aren't on adverts.ie anymore? Three are allowed to send them out for the NBS only because they have the license for the bandwidth but its still not very good practice.

btw applogies for answering so many of your threads.
