Cancelling iTunes Pre-Order

I pre-ordered an EP on iTunes two weeks ago which was due to be released on 11th November. Got an email then from the artist announced it was delayed until the 19th. I've seen been to a gig and bought the EP in physical form there. I forgot to cancel the pre-order until just now, when I got an email from iTunes to say it's now available. Can I cancel it? I haven't downloaded it obviously but I may have selected to download automatically so I'm afraid to open iTunes!

You can't cancel it since you've already paid for it and its been released. The fact that you haven't downloaded it yet doesn't matter. You can request a refund from iTunes but don't be surprised if they refuse. Use the Report a Problem button in your iTunes account's purchase history.

    Or use the online form:

Thanks, that's what I was afraid of. Just annoying I guess, I thought I had another few days to cancel it!
