Hi biggest problem feeding flaked maize is that it scours the dogs bad when your working them hard the would be on fire half way during the day stopping every few mins to crap . During the season i would feed them well once the shooting season stops i cut there protein down

If i had a few dogs i would buy a good quality dog food and mix 75/25 during the shooting season and 60/40 off season maize being the lower of the two i have a lab and pointer and thats what im feeding them after trying different amounts 75/25 worked solid stools in the run i put 3.5 kg of maize to 15 kg of dog food
