Read the terms and conditions. Cancel before the month is over.

A fair usage policy applies. Excludes special, premium and non-geographic numbers.
2 Trial must be redeemed by 15/11/2012. Offer available only to existing Skype users who have been registered with Skype more than 29 days. To qualify for the offer, you must provide valid payment details. After the first month, your subscription will automatically continue and payments will be taken monthly unless you cancel within 27 days of the start date.

Did anyone else get a receipt showing the start date as the 11th of November?

    This is what mine says:

Odd looking glitch alright VZ, query it if you have the time.

I posted on the Skype forum late last night and they said to ignore it. Think I'll still cancel 4 days early though. I suppose a person has to expect a certain amount of bad luck when you're this good looking.

Is the offer over? :( Can't seem to find the trial :|

  • Posts: 7,320 Bryce Narrow Vision

Yes the offer had to be taken up by the 15th. Unfortunately the thread was created on the 15th. You snooze you lose baby. We need some kindly, overworked mod to slap [EXPIRED] on this slut!

Just cancelled mine now, so as to avoid being billed.

    Hardly used it tbh.

Thanks for the reminder Yamanoto, completely forgot I had this. Most of the places I need to ring are not landlines anyway.

Doesn't seem to say I have a subscription - can't find where to cancel it if I do ?

  • Posts: 7,320 Bryce Narrow Vision

When you log into Skype, click subscriptions and it should be listed.

    +1

Hadn't realised it was landlines only when I signed up.

Was charged today with the automatic renewal. I though I had a few day left to cancel. I contacted Skype via chat and they arranged a refund. I'll probably renew the Ireland unlimited subscription in the New Year.

The free 27 day calls are back again. Not sure about the availability or t&c though but worth to check. (hopefully it's not email specific!)
