Pan used in Kitchen Hero?

Have seen this twice now. Once DS was cooking at a food fair and last night in a garden using a pan that seemed to be independently heated. Quite high with a domed lid. Not sure whether electric, gas or something else. Has somebody else seen it and knows what it is? Just curious

First time I saw him I thought he looked like something straight off those X-factor type programs.

I only saw yesterday that Maeve Higgins off the candid camera "naked camera" show has her own food related program too.
