    Hi all

I need to buy a tractor for very wet boggy land, only 30 ac. It will need to carry round bales and work a rotary mower, among other things.

I was using a ford 4000 the other day, it got it hard to lift a round silage bale. I presume there must be a problem with it, bad seal in lift or some such. I saw a guy using a mf35 for silage bales a few years ago, I didn't htink it would lift bales.

    Any thoughts, thanks

no better balers making better vales, had to make smaller bales for the 4610 and 4000 owners this year, funny though the mf 165 hadnt a problem only light at front but they arent nearly as nice to drive as the fords, if u buy a 4000 u should aim for bales to be well wilted but they are a great tractor for u otherwise, pump maybe was dodgy but it has happened anywhere i baled this year.

I purchased a little same condor last year, its 4wd and 55hp and lifts rounds bales,..

i put double wheels on it the other year and took turf out of the bog for friends and neighbours and it just floated on the ground, it will go anywhere..really impressed with it, fully road legal too

I saw one, it's a nice looking handy tractor, not too many about though

had the same problem; Low oil in the back end! Just above the axle near the top link, might solve your problem.
No problem with lifting bales....big problems keeping the front wheels on the ground. There is a specific oil for the back end of the ford 4000
