To buy or not to buy

Hi guys, kinda looking for a heads up on buying a detached house in an estate, which is listed on the household charge exception list, whilst the house would seem like a bargain, are there any real pitfalls to be concerned with,
I did think I'd ask as a informal conversation with a solicitor would indicate that the house would seem not to be such a steal after all...

    Many thanks ,......

If its exempt from the HC then its more than likely a ghost estate.

Probably owned by NAMA, develop bust, may not be finished, any serious issues such as waste management that may arise may cost any tenants in estate etc.

There are LOADS of cheap houses out there, DO NOT buy in a ghost estate.
