Hi just wondering what the quickest way to commute to the city centre is? Trying to avoid driving to the station and paying for parking or having car damaged so probably bus would be better? Have not commuted in about 2 years so not sure if things have improved?

It will somewhat depend on where exactly you are travelling between. The obvious routes available are the 39/a and train, which best serve the Stoneybatter, O'Connell Bridge Connolly-Tara Street-Pearse and Baggot Street areas, not so great for Dublin 8.

Try this and play around with the various options, especially data and time. www.a-b.ie

The 70 does that trip directly.

Either get a taxsaver ticket via your employer (www.taxsaver.ie) or get a 30 Day Rambler ticket, which will give you 6 weeks of travel if you're only using the bus Monday-Friday.

Does anyone know if its safe enough to leave the car in little pace without it being clamped or vandalised ?

I commute from Rosedale to IFSC, it's about a 25 minute walk to Clonsilla station and a 30 minute train ride, about an hour all told for 4.20 return on a leap card or much cheaper with a taxsaver ticket.

I tend to jog to the train but it's only 2.5km for me.
