Hardwareeversand & RMA Procedure

    Hi

I ordered my build Friday night 19th October (my build thread ), received confirmation of payment on Monday 22nd October and had my gear delivered by Thursday evening 25th October. Super fast I was impressed.

Unfortunately i had problems with the MOBO an ASRockZ77 Extreme4 . I could never get it to POST for me. The DR DeBug on the motherboard only ever displayed 00 which according to the instrucions ment no power was going to the board, however when powered up, the fans on the case and CPU would spin and the DR Debug lite. After checking everything countless times and having another technican check it, followed by a lot of googling it seems as this can happen and it indicates a faulty board.

I contacted Hardwareeversand via eMail on Saturday 27th, they answered my eMail and instructed me how to return the item.

I completed the online form and sent back the MOBO via UPS on Tuesday 30th and it arrived back with Hardwareeversand on Monday 5th. Ironic sending things back took longer.

I've subsequently contacted Hardwareeversand via eMail twice seeking clarification on the status of this return on Wednesday 8th November and again on Saturday 10th November and on both occassions they have failed to respond.

I've seen previous posts of people undertaking an RMA with Hardwareeversand and having issues and others having no problem, but most seem to be quite old. Both eMails only sought clarification on the Ticket/Call status nothing more, as no doubt they need to run their own test on the board or indeed send it back to the manufacturer.

Whilst I do acknowledge this all takes time, I'm just trying to establish on ETA as it's depressing looking at the rest of my build sitting idle and the longer this takes the less likely my Xmas present videos will be done.

Can anyone offer any guidance on the return procedure? How best to handle it? Is this normal? The eMail account I have used was the one I used initall which they responded from information@hardwareversand.de

    Many thanks
    Darren

    Ring. Ring. Ring.

They take way too long to reply by email. It might take more than 1 go to get through to an English speaker unfortunately. I returned the same mobo a month ago, it wasn't recognising any PCI devices connected. I sent it off on the Tuesday, they received it on the following Wednesday and posted a replacement on the Friday.

Just emailed them myself a few minutes ago to ask about returning a motherboard, maybe I'l ring them tomorrow then.
Mine was ordered in February though, so not sure how they will take that.

    Cheers Scar & Pangea.
After the the above post I rechecked the website and saw that eMail addy too, so bounced them another 3 eMail and included that one also :-), however no reply still from either.

    Grand, next step is ringing.

    Cheers

first step should be ringing. they're notoriously bad at replying to emails :(

Its taken me a while to post an update. Received my replacement a few days after my last post. No problems with it at all. Popped in the MOBO and bingo, up and running.

As others have mentioned, ring them, eMail them etc. They obviously get there eventually, but as mentioned they take their time. Many thanks to all who provided me with help and information on this. If i can be of help to others respond to this thread or PM me.
