Hi, can anyone please identify this snapped spring (coil) from Ford Focus 2006 hatchback 1.4 petrol 5 door model :)

It snapped/appeared at drivers feet as the brake was pushed when coming to a Stop, was just after the seat had been adjusted also.

Car drove away fine afterwards, but anxious to know what this part is... Thanks in advance!

Its a fairly heavy spring, if the brake pedal is not coming back up normally (or maybe the clutch pedal), then I'd hazard a guess that it is connected to whatever pedal isn't operating normally, failing that, I'd say it could have come from under the seat...

I'd be almost certain that is from the seat mechanism as its not the design of spring that's normally used for pedals.

Try adjusting the seat again and see if it works as normal (ie. before the spring broke).

Clutch pedal return spring, clutch pedal should feel a little loose when pressed, spring is cheap from the dealer......
