any thoughts on these? I see they originated in Pforzheim, only just down the road from Stowa and they have a nice alternative in the style of the Marine Automatic in the 4H55

    http://www.aristo.ch/html/popup/4H55.htm

a lot cheaper too but not sapphire but has the ETA 2824-2 movement

if I get a chance end of month when I drop into Stowa, I might pay them a visit and check out what they have

I have one Aristo watch, except it's called APUCTO because of its Russian movement.

The watch is well made, of good quality ...no complaints. I'd say you're getting value for money with them.

One thing I like about them is that occasionally they make watches with rare/old movements, which makes a nice change from standard Swiss fare (for those who like that kind of thing)

While in Pforzheim you might as well visit this place also:

    Lex,

I'm no expert but it only looks ok to me.

Is the "9" on the face presented unusually, the face just seems peculiar to me.

Looks nice without doing anything for me.

its horizontal rather than vertical but other than that I think its correctly positioned.
The bottom of the '9' would have to be facing into the watch...if it was the other way around it would be wrong
