anyone know much about case puma tractors?

buddy of mine has bought a 180 with CVT. He said i can borrow it if i want for doing slurry, and tilling if i need to. I usually give him a hand in the spring doing a few bits and pieces and this is my pay back. I usually use his more basic tractors like a JD 3350 and the old TW15 (now gone). Been a while since i have driven the more modern tractors. how simple is it to use CVT and what are the controls like? was up in a T7000 seris new holland recently and it looked like a spaceship.

What size tanker will you be pulling? Thats a mad size tractor for slurry unless the tanker is over 2000 gallons. We pull a 1600 with a New Holland TL90. The diesel that would go through that yoke would be colossal. I remember powerharrowing on a NH T6070 and she was burning 4.7 gallons an hour. Now I know slurry would be easier on diesel than this but she would still like a good drink.

his current tank is 2200 but that might be getting changed next year, i know he was looking at one about 2500. from what he told me about it the CVT will drop the diesel use as it can automaticlly adjust the speed and revs. havent seen it yet as it wont get dilevered until after christmas. if my tank fills up quickly over the winter i might be using sooner then i was expecting. he'll start me off but i dont want to look like an eegit sorrounded by buttons and dials and ringing him every 5 mins cos cant drop the hitch or sometime trival like that.

i'll more than likely be using it with a power harrow or rotovator when he is setting beet. ALthough i think we might experiment with having the power harrow on the front and seed drill on the back to see how that works

Do you need to alter a normal trailed power Harrow to put it on the front ??

most of the newer ones have a PTO stub and linkage points on both sides.
