I have the SKY + HD box

I have just upgraded to the half price, for 6 months, movie package. I must now enter my PIN to view some of the movies.

As there aren't any children in our house HOW do I turn this OFF so I don't have to enter a PIN anymore and just view the movie??

Press Services button, then on top line of menu move to left one space from "Options" to "Parental" (has the padlock on). Scroll down, enter your pin, then press blue to turn restrictions off.

That will only work for some channels. Sky are under the cosh from Ofcom and are obliged to pin protect any movie that has an inkling of adult content. The pin is required up to 9.00pm.

Tried that and the option say's "Turn ON restrictions" and then I tried it again and the blue button had changed to "Turn OFF restrictions" But still it asks for the PIN to view some channels. I did this disable PIN a couple of times but not working as a fix.

This would look to be the correct answer to disable the PIN requirement but it's not working for me.

    Any more ideas

Ah ha, thanks, that answers OP question then.

Its a pain there should be at least some code you can input if there are no kids in the house. I have looked around and there seems to be no way to turn it off.
You can edit it to something easier ie 1234 or 0000

It used to be possible on the previous "old" epg (like the one on the white boxes).
    See here
Not sure if it can be done with the latest EPG due to OfCom as Kristopherus stated. Its crazy that a regulator with no jurisdiction here has more control over what we can watch than ComReg.

I tried removing the parental lock some time ago but I couldnt. I wasnt really that bothered with it but when I was on to Sky one day about another issue I mentioned it and they removed it from their end. Seems as though Sky have to be contacted to get rid of it completely.

I just changed mine to 0000, it's a nuisance though especially when they appear to require it even for 12/PG movies.
