I know this is just another rant on stupid reckless driving. But im boiling! On the Nass road today (100km limit). Im in the middle lane. A car in front is crawling at about 65(after passing the lights at newlandscross i think it is). So I check my mirrors, car behind in outer lane but safe distance,i indicate, look again, grand and then start moving. As soon as i started to move he floored it.I was halfway into the lane and he would have crashed into the back of me so i had to swerve back into the middle lane again. I looked at him as he passed and he definitely saw me. This was after 9am today but i had my full lights on as i usually do. This kind of thing can happen fair enough and the car will speed off into the distance. I curse him and and forget it. But today a minute or two later he crosses to the left lane and gets off at the first exit. Im just wondering am i going mad, was he much further away than i thought he was and i overreacted? But I remembered him being as far to the right of his lane as he could be in order to squeeze past me( i can only guess) so im thinking that it was him. I just dont understand these people at all.

    OOoh. Middle lane. Commence questioning.

Like a fat singer once said, objects in the rear view may appear closer than they are.

he said middle lane, not Middle Lane. In this case the first Overtaking Lane is indeed in the middle.

Quick answer, some people are knobs. They take personal offence to imaginary slights.

I often wonder the same thing when overtaking in such circumstances, do drivers in the overtaking lane speed up and tailgate to try make you feel guilty for blocking their progress, and then I say to myself "nobody could be so childish":)

    Back OT.

Lane hogs are very annoying. But, like the rest of us, you just need to learn to...

I see that no. of thanks too. WTF is going on there?

Not a bad idea to look in your mirrors twice so you see the speed of the other car a bit better, mirrors can be a bit deceiving sometimes.
