    Hi all.

i am looking to get 2 laptops for my parents. i would like them to be the same. as they have had (supplied by me) over the last 10 years, just dells (d400, d600, inspiron 1525), sentimentally i would like to remain at dells.

however, as imagined, i dont have that much to spend (so the bare minimum in terms of price).

they use it for skype (webcam) and audio a lot, some internet browsing and that is about it. (emails as well).

i am wondering if anyone could recommend cheap dells. i was hoping to remain at or under 350 euros. it does not have to be new.

i was looking at adverts, saw a couple of inspiron 1564 i3s at 300 ish euros. now, this isnt bad, but i dont think having i3s or less is going to make a huge difference. ideally if i got refurbished or new, it would be great.

i was checking the uk refurb site (why oh why does it not work in ireland!!)

does anyone have any suggestions how we could get stuff from the uk refurb site? if that helps, i have parcel motel, or i could get it shipped to my cousin in uk. however, i do not have a uk credit card, and i dont know if it would work with an irish card, and delivery to a uk address (parcel motel or cousin).

i dont mind adding a little bit more to ship from cousin to me, its just getting the things that are a pain.

Thanks for suggestions, and maybe even making me think outside the box!
