Provisional

    Hi,

I am going to try to learn to drive yet again. However, I was away for a year, and my provisional has expired. I had been on my provisional for a few years before this. Can I renew my provisional, or do I have to start all over again, as in right back to taking practical theory test?

    Cheers

I presume you have a Learner Permit and not a provisional.

So long as it hasn't expired in the last 5 years you can just reapply, without having to start from scratch.

Sorry, yes, I have a Learner. It would have expired a year ago.

If it was your first LP you can apply for a 2nd.

If it was your 2nd, you'll have to provide evidence of having done a driving test or applied for a test.
