4/5 lads looking to go to Rome for the Paddy's weekend match next year.

We are thinking of going down the package route...any advice on best company to use would would be gratefully received.

Also any other ideas/advice on the Rome away weekend would be great also.

I've used Killester Travel for away Hcup and Internationals a few times and couldn't fault them. They can usually arrange tickets seated together.

For Rome it shouldn't be too difficult to do a DIY trip, though Rynair has increased his prices for that weekend.

You'll pay an extra €200 pps for a package deal (IMO).

Rome is close enough and accessible enough to be able to sort your own travel and accommodation.

2 airports - Fiumicino and Ciampino - thousands of hotels - stadium capacity = 70K - no need for a package deal. (Skyscanner & TripAdvisor - www.listicket.it for tix)

You might well need a connecting flight via Manchester, London or e.g. Schipol but you'lll get a half decent price.

it is Paddy's w/e so you'll pay a bit more - but for pre-match pizza & Peroni in Piazza Flaminia....it's worth it!

(And the weather should be nice in Rome in mid-March - maybe 18C-19C if we're lucky!)

Anyone know when the tickets will be on sale? I take it they'll be easy enough to get your hands on considering it's in the Stadio Olympico?

I think I read somewhere that tickets have already been on Sale, not sure though.

Tickets went on sale via listicket.it on 16th October. Worst website ever, just to be warned.

Couldn't figure out how to get tickets on that site. Even on the English version. Rubbish. Anyone know of an easy way I can order a few tickets or is that it?

If you know anyone connected to a rugby club, it would be pretty easy for them to order them off their club.

If you dont, you could try ringing up a few clubs nearby.

I went in 2010 and it was really easy to get tickets. I got about 6 or 8 tickets from my club. Usually demand is not that high for the Italy away game (or home for that matter) :)
