I was just wondering does anybody know if it's essential to present the grad invitation card at graduation to allow the potential 2 guests to attend or are they just assigned a seat on the day?

I can't imagine it being completely necessary, especially since there isn't any unique information on each invitation. I'd bring it along just in case.

EDIT: browsed over the documentation there and it says the invitation is for bringing your two guests in, so yeah, best to bring it in case you can't talk your guests through the gate.
