How much is my car worth?

Hi all, Im not great with car prices etc. But im looking to sell my Ford Mondeo car as I am working close to home so no more long journeys so a little micra will be my new purchase.

Its a 2004, Ford Mondeo, Diesel, 2.0 litre, NCT'd 4 weeks ago, Tax just out (oct 12), Only serviced fully 4 weeks ago, 120,000miles, 4 New tyres

Few small faults:
The driver wont lock all doors when locked, have to lock them individualy, but central locking works on the key.
Mudflaps on back 2 and front left whell are gone.
Dent on passanger side of car, nothing major but is very noticable

Everything else works grand. Just wondering how much can I exect for it?
Was bought brand new by my mother and I bought it off her 2 years ago.
I was thinking €2,500 but would like some advice as I want to get as much as I can....Obviously

Depends how much it will cost to fix the dent. But being an LX prob not.

I would not pay much attention to carzone prices, they are just asking prices, not selling prices. They also tend to be dealers selling them who offer warranty. Go onto the likes of donedeal.ie and have a look at similar cars, it will give you a more accurate idea.

At a guess I would say that you are probably not that far off, I'd put it up at €3,200 to begin with and see what interest you get. If you get no calls then drop the price a little until someone rings. A cheap diesel with a fresh NCT and new tyres will surely get some interest.

I take its a tddi, good luck with your sale, i think people maybe a small bit optimistic with prices.

If you get an offer around 2.5k take hand and all. And dont run anyone that offers less.

A 04 diesel mondeo with a known 120k miles, new 2 year test and good tyres in good condition should easily fetch 3k I would have thought.

I know of a 04 tdci 130 5 speed, 135k, ford service history, nct til 6/13, injectors done last christmas, clutch a few months before that with a smallish dent in the rear door and arch, nice colour and good spec (sunroof, climate and rear electrics) that was sold privately by my friend who bought an smax, for 2.5k in september. Started at 3.5 k in july and was happy to get what he got when he'd looked at it out through the window for 2 months.

Good luck OP, but trying to sell anything aint too easy at the moment.
