Got caught in a slot drain this morning and buckled the back wheel. Can these be fixed in bike shops or am I looking at a new wheel?

buckled wheels can be fixed at most shops providing the rim isnt damaged.

Don't think the rim is damaged.

Wheel goes around but gets stuck in breaks. Cycled home ok before I noticed a problem

    That video is very helpful.

Went to have a go and found that one of the spokes was brokem. Defo a bike shop job. Again will the whole rim need to be replaced?

all depends if the rim is damaged or not. if it's not your local bike shop will be able to fix it for you. replacing a spoke and trueing the wheel will cost about €25

I'll be heading down to the LBS this morning. Hopefully I can get it sorted today and be back on the bike tomorrow

i got my rear wheel trued recently by city cycles on blackhall place. it was only €7. I'm sure if you need a spoke it would only add a couple of euro to it, but might be more labour intensive.....
