Who's responsibility is it to get the gas boiler serviced, mine or the landlord's? Thanks :)

My LL get her father to fix things round the house and I want to get the boiler serviced before I get oil next week as the last time I got oil I was using €50 a week for 2 hrs max each day....and it was March!
I reckon the boiler needs a proper service, not the father giving it a once over.
Can I insist on proper service?

Only a registered gas person can service a gas boiler, but afaik there are no such requirements with an oil boiler. In any case how do you know how much you are spending a week on oil unless you are getting weekly fills?

Had the heating on a timer and got €200 worth of oil and it lasted just under 4 weeks.
I am out of the house all day now and have a back boiler so just the fire in the evenings to heat the radiators, but want the oil for an hour in the morning.
Just dont want to pay for oil and find the boiler is leaking or not working properly.
