    Well,

I ordered a new fuel filter from a web based supplier

The filter arrived but it considerably bigger than any I have used before. Could be 2" longer. Will this affect my fuel consumption or is it OK to use in my wagon?

    Cheers

    Its impossible to say.

What's the brand and part number and what car/engine have you got?

    x2

But you do get some filters a bit longer or shorter than the ones you are replacing, more so on the VAG range.
