    Hello.

    I'm a musician from South Dublin and I'm looking to establish a 'band'. I'm putting band in inverted commas because I'm less interested in 'making it' and navigating the atrocious music scene, but rather more interested in writing brilliant music. I'd rather avoid pre-definition and just see how things go.

    If you are into and/or influenced by any of these things, then I'd recommend you give me a buzz: post-rock in general; progressive rock; experimental music/ art; Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Explosions In The Sky, Russian Circles, Sigur Rós, Caspian, Animals As Leaders, Tool, And So I Watch You From Afar, Kasper Rosa; an appreciation of the beauty of melancholia; disregard for authority; pints.

    I'd love responses from drummers, guitarists, violinists, anything really. If you feel on the same page as regards to influences, give me a buzz no matter what you play.

    As for me: I'm almost 21, I've been playing guitar for 7 years or so, bass for nearly 3, and general percussion for a little less. I'm looking towards playing guitar for this project, but ideally I'd like to have at least one other guitarist on board, possibly two. I also have a bassist already working on material with me.
