Worried about the gas boiler - Carbon Monoxide

    Hi
I have an Ideal Mexico 2 gas boiler. The little window through which you can see the blue flame has turned all black and now I can't see the flame. A strange noise comes from the boiler. The best way I can describe it is as if drops of water / rain is falling onto the flame..... but it's definitely not raining outside. Any ideas?

    Thanks.

Stop using it and call out a registered gas engineer.

Yes, definatly stop using the boiler immediately!!

Any black or black staining in and around the boiler is a sign of carbon monoxide and must be investigated by a qualified person before the boiler can be put back into service
